Each skipper and crew member in the IYC Cayuga Lake Cruising Fleet pays a fee that helps cover the many costs of weekly sailboat races. Fees collected pay for the use and the maintenance of the Ithaca Yacht Club’s lighted racing buoys, membership in US SAILING and their PHRF program, refreshments at the three End-of-the-Series cook-out parties, and costs of putting on the End-of-the-Season Awards Banquet. Dinner at the Red Jacket Yacht Club’s party and the Awards Banquet are not included in the registration fees.
Latitude and Long-Distance Races
There are no fees for skippers and crews sailing in those “open” races, but skippers should still fill out registration forms.
Spring and Fall Series Races
Crew member fees $ 10 (IYC Members) or $ 20 (Non-IYC Members).
New skipper fees $ 100.
Skipper fees for only Spring or only Fall Series $ 100.
Skipper fees for Spring and Fall Series, IYC members, $ 200.
Skipper fees for Spring and Fall Series, NON-IYC members, $ 250.
